Itinéraire
This pleasant and easy walking tour will allow you to discover some interesting historic buildings of the town : Casino, Triviers Park, Thermal baths, Comtes de Challes Castle, airfield, old wash house, church.
From the Park, take the bridle path which leads to Triviers Park where you'll find the Château de Triviers castle. Go through the park and leave by the steps to the left of the castle by taking the "Rue du Dr Rauge". Go past the Furieuse Cascade, dry in summer, but really spectacular during heavy rain. Follow the street behind the casino to reach the thermal park then the "Avenue des Thermes" and at the roundabout follow the "Montée du Château" as far as the Comtes de Challes Castle. You can enter the castle courtyard and visit the chapel dedicated to St Jacques de Compostela (St James of Compostella). Descend again to the thermal baths and turn right to reach and cross the RD1006 road. Go up between the multimedia library (médiathèque) and hotel school (lycée hôtelier). On the left you can see the convent of the Dominican sisters. Continue to the intersection and take the "Rue de l'Ancienne Mairie" to the left, evidence of the old town by way of wooden shopfronts and wash house remain.
Take the "Rue Charles Pillet" to the left to reach the Tourist Office.
